On February 8-12 Expocentre hosts the largest international food forum Prodexpo'2010

The largest and most representative in Russia and Eastern Europe food industry event – the 17th international exhibition Prodexpo'2010 – opens its doors at Expocentre Fairgrounds on February 8, 2010.

The exhibition occupies all the pavilions of Expocentre Fairgrounds and on the total area of over 80,000 sq. m it showcases production of nearly 1,800 companies from 57 countries. 28 countries present their national and collective displays there. The number of Prodexpo foreign participants is growing steadily despite the recent economic downfall. This year companies from Peru will join the exhibition. Participation of Germany, Italy, Spain, Latvia, Thailand and France at the state level is expected to be the most representative.

15 thematic sections of Prodexpoґ2010 cover the whole range of food industry products. The show continues to evolve, and this year the exposition of ProdexpoPack'2010 salon devoted to packaging solutions for the food industry will for the first time operate as an independent exhibition. Ice-Cream Salon is also a novelty of Prodexpo'2010.

Leading domestic and foreign manufacturers and suppliers of food products and beverages use Prodexpo opportunities to promote their production to the Russian market. For the first time within the exhibition a special event ‘Brands alley’ is held. The companies which brands occupy leading positions in the segment of food industry and foodstuffs will participate in the event.

Prodexpo'2010 rich business-related program involves the First Russia-Japan Congress on the Agriculture and Food Market, meetings of Peruvian and Russian businessmen EXPO Peru-Russia, All-Russia Trade Forum and All-Russia Food Forum as well as a range of conferences, seminars, round tables, presentations and other specialized events.

The exhibition program of contests features the Best Product Award, the Innovative Product of PRODEXPO'2010 Award, the Choice of Networks Award, the 9th International Tasting Competition on Alcoholic Production, the largest industry competition for the best food packing ProdExtraPack.

The 17th International Exhibition Prodexpo'2010 is held by Expocentre with support from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Government of Moscow and the Council of CIS heads of Commerce and Industry Chambers.
