The delegation of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry headed by its President Sergey Katyrin has visited the Russia Pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai.
The delegation includes Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO, Chair of the Committee on Exhibition, Fair, and Convention Activity of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alexey Vyalkin, and heads of a number of regional chambers.
The 12th World Chambers Congress is also taking place in Dubai these days (22–26 November), attended by a delegation from the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry headed by the Chamber President.
World Expo 2020 in Dubai, with a slogan of Connecting Minds, Creating the Future, was originally scheduled to open in October 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Russia pavilion at the World Expo in Dubai has already become one of the most visited pavilions, with lines of people constantly drawn to it. Even among all the great variety of national pavilions, the Russia one catches the eye. It represents a dome made of thousands of multi-colored filaments. It is also the one with the most multimedia features.
The pavilion was shown by Dmitry Mikhailov, Deputy Commissioner General at the Russia Pavilion at Expo 2020, who said that all visitors were genuinely impressed by both the pavilion's fantastic architecture and its super-technological inner exposition.
There was also a meeting with the delegation of Zimbabwe, headed by President of the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries Kurai Matsheza, participating in the 12th World Chambers Congress. The parties discussed the topic of support for the nomination of Moscow as a candidate to host Expo 2030, exchanged views on the need for information exchange which is extremely important for improving the interaction of businessmen of the two countries, and discussed the participation in exhibitions and the organization of mutual business missions.
