The winners of the annual Russian event industry award EFEA Awards were announced in St. Petersburg. The award ceremony summed up the results of the rating of the most quoted or mentioned in the Russian media forums, exhibitions, congresses, festivals, event organisers and venues. 

EFEA Awards 2022 were given to companies and federal and 4regional projects in five categories: Project of the Year, Organiser of the Year, Discovery of the Year, Venue of the Year, Event of the Year. There also were several special awards. 

EXPOCENTRE won the Venue of the Year award. For over 60 years, the company has consistently maintained its status as a leading organiser of the largest international trade fairs in Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe. 

Nizhegorodskaya Yarmarka won in the Venue of the Year category at the regional level. 

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum won the EFEA Awards in the Project of the Year category. It was organised by the Roscongress Foundation. The 100+ TechnoBuild Forum from Ekaterinburg was awarded the EFEA Awards in the Regional Project of the Year category. Its organisers were the Russian Ministry of Construction and the Sverdlovsk regional government. 

Roscongress Foundation was a winner in the Organiser of the Year category. ExpoForum International became a winner in the Organiser of the Year category at the regional level. 

The Young Scientists' Congress held in Sochi in 2021 became a winner in the Discovery of the Year category at the federal level. At the regional level, the Energy of the Far East Investment Forum from Khabarovsk was named Discovery of the Year. 

The Scarlet Sails Alumni Festival won in the federal Event of the Year category. The New Beginning Gala Show from Nizhny Novgorod was a winner of this category at the regional level. 

The Convention Bureau of the Republic of Tatarstan received a special award For Contribution to Destination Development in Russia. The Trofimov special award For Contribution to the Development of Exhibition and Congress Activities 2022 was presented to World Trade Centre PAO.
