From April 25 to 27, 2022 the 2nd INNOPROM. Central Asia 2022 international industry exhibition, organised by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, took place in Tashkent.

Russia, Uzbekistan, Belarus and Tajikistan had national stands, while Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Armenia and Azerbaijan sent representative delegations to the exhibition. 9 Russian and 14 Uzbek regions had their own stands.

The Made in Russia national showcase (organised by EXPOCENTRE AO) was one of the most extensive. 17 Russian exporters demonstrated a wide range of high-tech industrial products: developments in the field of smart equipment and smart grids for power supply, digital power substations, oil and gas chemical and metallurgical equipment, precision metal-cutting tools, refrigerating plants, blockchain platforms for reliable data storage, contactless validators for fare payment, payment platforms and much more.

On the first day of the exhibition, Made in Russia was visited by an official delegation led by Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov and Deputy Prime Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations - Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov.

On the second day of the exhibition, 26 April, a panel for Russian exporters to discuss practical aspects of entering the Uzbek market was held. Participants of the panel noted the enormous potential for deepening industrial cooperation between our countries.

A field trip to the production sites of Uzbek enterprises was also organised for the Russian participants. Exporters were able to familiarise themselves with the production and technological process of Uzbek enterprises, received information on the possibilities of localisation and organisation of joint production, and integration into international production chains. They discussed export-import issues.

During the three days of the Made in Russia showcase, Russian exporters, with the support of the Russian Export Centre (REC), held more than 200 business meetings. More than 100 Uzbek counterparties showed interest in Russian products, including private companies, factories, distributors and dealers from the machinery, metal processing, oil refining, energy and IT industries, as well as representatives of relevant ministries and associations in Uzbekistan.

A number of memoranda and agreements on cooperation between Russian participants and Uzbek partners have been signed. The total export potential of the talks held and agreements signed is estimated at $30 million. The rapidly developing economies of Uzbekistan and Central Asia offer good prospects and make the region's market attractive to Russian exporters.

An important result of the Made in Russia national showcase and INNOPROM. Central Asia 2022 has become strengthening and expansion of cooperation and bilateral trade between Russia and Uzbekistan, and promotion of Russian exports of non-resource high-tech products to Central Asian markets.
