On October, 29 the Russian pavilion opened its doors at the 36th edition of the FIHAV 2018 Havana International Fair. The exhibition is organized by Expocentre AO upon instructions from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Mr. Yury Borisov opened the Russian showcase and emphasized the importance of Russian participation in the Havana fair and a strong trend aimed at bringing Cuba and Russia together.

In his welcome address Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment of Cuba Mr. Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz pointed out to the annually increasing range of Russian exhibits and improvement of their quality.

More than 15 companies from different regions of Russia put on display their products on 250 sq m of floor space, among them RM Rail (Republic of Mordovia), PROTEI (Saint Petersburg), Novoaltaisk Power Equipment Plant (Novoaltaisk), ChAZ (Cheboksary), and others.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Georgy Kalamanov, First Deputy Director General of Russian Railways Alexander Misharin and Russian Ambassador to Cuba Andrey Guskov also took part in the exhibition.

The Russian showcase is accompanied a comprehensive supporting program.

The Russian pavilion will be open until November, 2.
