The Association of Meat Processors hold the Session on Advanced Equipment and Digital Technology for the Meat Industry to Increase Productivity and Competitiveness within the conference programme of the 30th anniversary edition of Agroprodmash. The event was moderated by the Association’s Director Ekaterina Luchkina.

The discussion participants included representatives of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Center for Industrial Agroanalytics of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, Gorbatov Federal Research Center for Food Systems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Centre for the Development of Perspective Technologies, as well as enterprises that develop and manufacture equipment and technologies, and robotic and digital solutions for the food and processing industry. There were presentations of unique patented technological solutions.

The session also provided up-to-date information on conducting experiments and introducing the mandatory Chestny Znak labeling for meat products and semi-finished products, and provided recommendations on the choice of solutions and equipment.

Any equipment must be handled and washed. The participants learned what is new in the field of sanitation, and what tools and means are currently used to maintain a high level of food safety. The other important topic was the use of digital solutions.

The participants also learned about new technological solutions for the industry, innovative developments and cost optimization methods, and received practical recommendations.

The analytical block provided participants with an understanding of the current state of the food and processing industries, the state of the raw material base, forecasts and development prospects, and changes in consumer behavior.
