The Food Processing Machinery 2019 Forum took place at the Agroprodmash 2019 exhibition today under the chairmanship of Rosspetsmash Association President Konstantin Babkin. The event was held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and Expocentre AO. The key item on the forum's agenda was Food Processing Machinery 2030. Successful Projects. According to Head of the Machine-Building Department for Food and Processing Industries of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade Svetlana Prodanova, the industry has lately seen a growth. Production grew 1.5 times in the period between 2016 and 2018 to 53.4 billion rubles. Exports demonstrated similar growth. Russian enterprises have a high potential of growth on the domestic market (42% share in 2018) and exports.

In the opinion of experts, the Development Strategy of Machine Building for the Russian Food and Processing Industries for the period until 2030, which was approved in August 2019, will help make a breakthrough.

The Forum's plenary meeting was dedicated to the strategy of interaction between industry actors and the government. There were also two thematic sections: Robots and Digital Technologies for the Food Industry and New in Government Support for Food Industry Machine Building.

Representatives of relevant ministries, leading manufacturers of food equipment, agricultural industry majors, heads of dealerships and service companies, and industry specialists discussed the results of the food industry machine building development in 2018–2019 and tasks for the period until 2030.
