Regional Sessions of the Congress of the Children’s Industry will become one of the key events within the conference programme of Mir Detstva 2022 and CJF – Child and Junior Fashion 2022. Autumn to be held from September 27 to 30 at Expocentre Fairgrounds.

The event is organised by the Association of Children’s Goods Industry Enterprises  with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, the Russian Ministry of Education, the Russian Academy of Education, EXPOCENTRE AO. Over three days, from September 27 to 29, the congress will include plenary and practical sessions, presentations of the best regional practices and innovative developments. Individual consultations and business meetings will take place.

A priority will be the discussion of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade's new programme for the procurement of teaching aids and equipment for pre-schools and general education establishments. A consulting centre of the Children’s Industry Business School will be open daily, and individual business meetings will be held as part of the Children’s Industry Business Club. The organisers will also summarise the results of a competition for young inventors entitled Innovations for Childhood.

As explained by the Association of the Children's Goods Industry Enterprises, the regional agenda was singled out as a separate stage of the Congress due to the increased role of the regions in the development of the children's goods industry and the launch of the state support programme for regional manufacturers. The stage aims to analyse and summarise regional experience in order to form effective mechanisms of industry development in the context of new economic challenges.

Industry players - from purchasers and manufacturers, to specialist retailers and chain retailers - will present ideas and concrete proposals on how to reshape production and children's brands to the current market conditions. They will outline the steps that should be taken to not only retain their businesses, but also to grow in the current realities.

An official Congress publication, the Children’s Industry Newsletter, is being produced by a joint industry editorial board to present regional experience, views of industry leaders, open dialogue, discussion of key issues and required support measures for industry enterprises. It is made up of communications specialists from leading industry companies.
