The Forum on Russian Software: Effective Solutions will take place on April 23, on the first day of Russian Week of High Technologies 2019 which runs at Expocentre Fairgrounds on April 23-26. The forum is organised by the Competence Center of Import Substitution in the ICT Sector, Russian Software Products Association "Russian Software", and Expocentre AO with the support of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media.

Vladimir Kononov, the chairman of the organising committee of Russian Week of High Technologies 2019, State Duma deputy, and coordinator of the State Duma Education and Science Committee's Expert Council for Scientific-Technological Development and Intellectual Property, will moderate the forum.

In his words, the forum and the week will have the theme of "National Cyber Security: Sovereignty vs. Globalization." Russia's leading experts will gather together to elaborate regulations for managing national information resources, to discuss impediments to and possibilities of domestic software's implementation in public governance processes, and to lay down unified requirements to national information security.

The Forum on Russian Software: Effective Solutions will be a major event of the Week, which also comprises the Svyaz 2019 international exhibition for information and communication technologies, the Navitech 2019 international exhibition for satellite navigation, and the 13th International Navigation Forum.

The panel discussion on Virtual Technologies in E-Commerce: Cyber Security will occupy a special place at the forum. It will be moderated by Director of the Competencies Center for Import Substitution in ICT Ilya Massukh.

This year's Week will be part of a new project, Science-Technologies-Innovations Expo (STI Expo), whose goal is to promote the fulfillment of national programs of scientific-technologies transformations, education, the digital economy, industries, transport infrastructure, and energy. 

The organisers are expecting 400 leading Russian and foreign companies, about 20,000 industry professionals, more than 100 speakers, and 1,500 delegates to participate in the Week's events.
