The International Assembly of Nutritionists ‘NutriMANia’ took place within Russian Health Care Week opened at Expocentre Fairgrounds. It was organised by the National Nutritionist Alliance, the International Academy of Nutritiology (MAN), the Healthy Eating Club of Yulia Artemova and EXPOCENTRE AO to promote nutritiology in health care and other life spheres. 

Opening the assembly, Rector of the International Academy of Nutritiology Anastasia Ustinova drew attention to the relevance of healthy lifestyle, including healthy nutrition in modern Russia. She noted the need for official legalisation of nutritionology as a profession and the development of professional standards for this at the state level.   "A nutritionist is exactly the kind of specialist who can help people think about their health," the expert stressed. In her opinion, the presence of nutritionists is essential in clinics, hospitals and especially in maternity hospitals. 

The assembly participants welcomed with great interest a speech by Alexey Lapin, President of the Association for Promotion of Physical Culture and Sports "Federation of Sports Medicine", Doctor of Medical Sciences, who paid special attention to preventive medicine and its importance in reducing the risks of serious diseases. The meaningful speeches were also made by Mikhail Nikitin, Chief Freelance Specialist in Sanatorium Treatment of the Ministry of Health Care of the Russian Federation, Zainudin Zainudinov, Chief Doctor of Medical Sciences, Doctor of Medicine, Alexey Moskalev, biologist, Doctor of Biology, Professor and Corresponding Member of RAS, and other prominent experts. 

They discussed a wide range of topics, from obesity in today's world to the importance of nutrition in prolonging human life, and answered questions from the audience.
