Mebel 2025 hosted an award ceremony of the Golden Cabriole National Award for Industrial Furniture Design, which is the most prestigious award in the Russian furniture industry. The competition is organised by the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia and the Union of Russian Designers. Its partners are EXPOCENTRE, CFMK, BRASS, and Sberbank.
The Golden Cabriole is Russia's only national award for industrial furniture design. The competition was first held in 2005.
This year, experts selected the best of the best in the furniture industry in five categories: Cabinet Furniture, Upholstered Furniture, Furniture for Public Spaces, Kitchen Furniture, Future Stars, and The Best Design Project from NORDECO DESIGN Products.
Russian furniture manufacturers, practicing designers and students of relevant universities took part in the Golden Cabriole competition.
Designer Alina Fedyanina won with the project of a transformable workplace Master, inspired by the work of Mikhail Bulgakov, in the Cabinet Furniture nomination. Designer Zlata Boyko won in the Upholstered Furniture nomination with the Varvara project of the Masterfabrik company. Designer Sergey Chernoglazov became the first in the nomination Furniture for Public Spaces with the project Couple by SIORI. The Didji kitchen of the First Furniture Factory and their lead designer Alexey Ovinnikov won the Kitchen Furniture nomination. Designer Anastasia Moiseeva won with the Tretyakov project from Norma Design in the Future Stars nomination. The project Beams by designer Alisa Bikulova won The Best Design Project from NORDECO DESIGN Products.
