The regular Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of EXPOCENTRE AO was held on 19 April 2024 in the form of remote voting. The reporting materials contain a welcome address to shareholders by Sergey Katyrin, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chair of the Board of Directors of EXPOCENTRE AO, and Maxim Fateev, Acting Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO.

“In 2023, EXPOCENTRE AO managed to achieve significant results and successfully realise its goals,” Sergey Katyrin said in his address. “The company concentrated its efforts on the development of its largest exhibition and congress projects of strategic importance for the Russian economy. The main emphasis was placed on intensive co-operation with Russian regions, as well as on the search for new foreign partners.”

In his address to shareholders, Maxim Fateev, Acting Director General at EXPOCENTRE AO, noted that “in 2023, the company managed to achieve better results by a number of indicators not only compared to the previous year, but also to the pre-pandemic year of 2019. The reduction in the number of exhibiting countries was compensated for by the increased presence of Russian exhibiting companies and Russia’s business partners from friendly countries, in particular China, Turkiye and Iran.”

“All our exhibitions in 2023 showed a high demand from the professional audience. Nine out of ten visitors to exhibitions organised by the Company are industry specialists. We have managed to attract a high-quality visitor audience, which has become an important competitive advantage in the exhibition services market,” Maxim Fateev said in his speech.

He also noted that in 2023 EXPOCENTRE continued its active work in the international market, hosting Russian exhibitions abroad.

According to him, maintaining and strengthening its leading positions in the market is one of EXPOCENTRE’s main tasks, which requires special attention to improving its working methods. The Company’s priorities include digitalisation and introduction of modern marketing technologies, as well as improvement of customer services.

The Shareholders’ Meeting approved the results of EXPOCENTRE’s operations and the activities of its governing bodies in 2023. The Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO, the Board of Directors and the Management Board of the Company were also elected.
