One of the largest international fairs of furniture and interior design IMM Cologne 2020 has opened today in Cologne, Germany. Russian companies also take part in the fair.

This year the Russian group stand has been organised by Russian Export Center AO for the second time. It is operated by Expocentre AO. The group stand consists of big furniture companies and small innovative companies from different cities of Russia.

Deputy Consul General of the Russian Federation in Bonn Valery Sidorov and International and Trade Fair Adviser of the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia Sergey Chukin took part in the fair opening ceremony.

The group stand occupies more than 400 sq m to showcase products made by Almaz (Lyubimy Dom), Rivalli, Apriori Furniture Factory (O’Prime), DEDAL, DIY Komplekt (Vardek), ARS (GreenTree), Individual Proprietor Linevich Alexandr Stanislavovich (E1 Furniture factory), Cherepovets Plywood & Furniture Plant, and Sveza-Les.

The European furniture market, despite its complexity and saturation, is appealing to Russian companies. The Russian-made furniture is gradually filling a niche in the EU market thanks to its high quality, functionality, and modern design. This trend is facilitated by the modern production base of Russian furniture manufacturers, who have lately purchased new equipment and implemented advanced technology. Now Russian-made furniture can compete in the global market both in quality and price.

At IMM Cologne Russian exhibitors showcase their new collections and bestselling hits, developments and design solutions to the general public in Germany and other European countries.
