The Russian group stand started its work on November, 14 in Wuhan, China at the 15^th International Optoelectronic Exhibition and Forum – OVC EXPO 2018. For the third time in a row the Russian showcase was organized by Expocentre AO and the Russian Laser Association.

OVC EXPO is an effective platform to demonstrate innovations of Chinese photonics and optoelectronics. The trade show is held at China's largest optoelectronic industrial base with concentration of leading universities and research institutions in this province.

The Russian group stand was presented by the following companies Avesta Project, Module Research Centre, Polarus and RMT (Moscow), ECO Spetspostavka and SSTC – Shipbuilding & Shiprepair Technology Center (St. Petersburg), NTLT (Vladimir), and Inject Research and Production Enterprise (Saratov).

Participation of Russian companies in OVC EXPO 2018 was accompanied by supporting events. The Russian delegation visited a permanent exposition of Optics Valley of China and the pilot free trade zone of the Wuhan region, participated in the 3^rd International Forum of Optics Valley of China for Laser and Quantum Technologies in the Aerospace Industry and the Conference held by the Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics.

The trade show featured the International Conference of the Hubei Province on Transfer of Technologies chaired by academician Ao Jiang Quan, Chairman of China Optics Valley Laser Association of Wuhan Zhu Xiao, and President of the Russian Laser Association Ivan Kovsh. The participants in the Russian group stand also took part in the conference.
