Lesdrevmash 2022, the 19th International Exhibition for Machinery, Equipment and Technology for Logging, Woodworking and Furniture Industries, held every two years, will take place from September 12 to 15 at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds.
The exhibition is organised by EXPOCENTRE AO under auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, EUMABOIS – the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers, the Drevmash Assosiation, the Lestech Assosiation, the Association of Woodworking and Furniture Enterprises of Russia, the Association of Organizations and Enterprises of Woodworking Machine-Building, and the Timber Industry Machinery and Equipment Producers Association.
According to the Project Head Margarita Gonchakova, the exhibition will traditionally be located in Pavilions 2 and 8, as well as in the open space. This year’s exhibition won’t feature the national pavilions of Germany, Italy, Finland and others due to the refusal of their ministries to organise a showcase in Russia, but that doesn’t mean the exhibition will shrink. At the moment, Lesdrevmash 2022 has already surpassed the exhibition of 2020 by 35%. “Part of the companies will decide on participation closer to the exhibition, but even now we see that a strong pool of exhibitors is being formed”, she said.
At the same time, despite the departure of some foreign companies from the Russian market, the exhibition maintains an extensive international participation. This year, companies from Belarus, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Sweden, Turkiye and other countries will be represented. A separate significant part of the exhibition will be represented by stands of Russian producers, as well as collective showcase of Russian regions - the Arkhangelsk, Bryansk, Kirov, Tver, Vladimir, Yaroslavl regions and the Republic of Karelia.
Traditionally, Lesdrevmash 2022 will bring together several categories covering the entire production cycle, from timber harvesting to deep processing of wood raw materials. Product sectors of the exhibition include logging, sawing, production of wood boards, woodworking, house building, furniture production, automation, bioenergy, packaging, tools, paint and varnish materials.
There will be an intensive conference programme at the exhibition. Events will focus on supporting Russian woodworking equipment manufacturers and Russian timber industry enterprises, development of the biofuel market, and ways to promote industry companies in the new environment. Over the four days of the exhibition, the expert industry community will discuss market needs. Participants will have a unique opportunity to find effective solutions for their business in a short time, identify vectors of further development, establish and strengthen partnerships.
