For the first time Russian pavilion was presented at the IndiaWood 2018 International Trade Fair in Bangalore (India). Participation of Russian companies in one of the largest woodworking shows was organized by Expocentre by order of Russian Export Center and with support of the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia and the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.  

The participants in the Russian pavilion were major Russian manufacturers of plywood, wood-based panels and sawnwood as well as paints, coatings, wood preservative agents and other wood treatment products. Russian companies Kronospan, United Panel Group, Syktyvkar Plywood Mill, Sveza, Cherepovets Plywood & Furniture Plant, and Expert Ecology showed their products on the exhibition space exceeding 90 sq m.

Russian companies took part not only in the trade fair but also in concurrent events organized with assistance from the Trade Mission of Russia in India. The program included seminars devoted to promotion of Russian-made products to the Indian market and presentation of the Russian woodworking industry at the IndiaWood 2018 key event – Timber Forum. For Russian participants there were arranged fruitful meetings with major Indian exhibitors and negotiations of the Russian delegation and the Indo-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industries in Chennai.

Participation of Russian companies in IndiaWood 2018 and its accompanying events was widely covered by the Indian industry press.

Russian companies pointed out to a great number of business contacts with the IndiaWood exhibitors and visitors and their commercial prospects and expressed gratitude to Russian Export Center AO, Expocentre AO, and the Trade Mission of Russia in India for good organization and support.
