The national exhibition Vuzpromexpo has opened at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds. It is a large-scale and comprehensive platform for demonstration of Russian scientific achievements and building of effective communications between the research and educational community, the government and business. The exhibition is organised by the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education. 

The event’s regular participants are different universities, enterprises, state corporations, competence centers, engineering centers, innovation clusters, ministries and departments, and educational centers.

The opening ceremony was attended by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Aleksandr Sergeev, Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vasiliy Osmakov, and CEO of KAMAZ PAO Sergey Kogogin. 

Valery Falkov took part in a presentation of Russia’s first electric smart crossover, KAMA-1. It was showcased at the stand of the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU), which is a regular exhibitor at Vuzpromexpo. 

“We have presented the actual outcome of joint efforts of the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and KAMAZ. It has defined this year’s edition of the exhibition right from the start,” said Mr. Falkov.

More than 100 universities, scientific centres and manufacturing companies are taking part in the exhibition. All events will be broadcasted online.
