The opening ceremony of the 25th anniversary edition of the Mir Detstva and the 23rd edition of the CJF – Child and Junior Fashion. Autumn exhibitions took place at Expocentre Fairgrounds.  The trade shows brought together more than 1,100 companies from 38 countries.

At the opening ceremony Children's Rights Commissioner for the President of Russia Anna Kuznetsova thanked the organisers and wished the anniversary Mir Detstva exhibition further development and new formats to make all achievements presented in the market available to Russian customers across the country.

First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Svetlana Zhurova noted with satisfaction that the number of Russian manufacturers at these trade shows had grown significantly and they showcased even more innovations. She thanked Expocentre for hospitality and organisation of wonderful trade shows and congratulated it on the 60th anniversary.

On behalf of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Director of the Department for Development of the Industry of Socially Important Goods Dmitry Kolobov welcomed the participants and visitors to the trade shows. He said it was necessary to do everything possible for promotion of Russian-made products for children in Russia and abroad. According to Dmitry Kolobov, the export opportunities of Russian manufacturers of children's goods will be discussed at the Congress of the Children's Goods Industry organised by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. 

Head of Expocentre's Exhibition Operating Management Ekaterina Bednova thanked all honoured guests and emphasised that the organisers had tried to make the trade shows and their supporting programmes most interesting. She reminded the attendees that Mir Detstva dated back to 1994. In 2000 the trade show featured the Salon of Child and Junior Clothing and Footwear that gained the status of a stand-alone trade show in 2007. According to Ekaterina Bednova, since 2010 CJF – Child and Junior Fashion has been a biannual event and pretty soon it will celebrate its anniversary as well.

The other speakers at opening ceremony of the exhibitions were also member of the Russian State Duma Committee on Family, Women, and Children Anna Kuvychko, President of the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile Industry Andrey Razbrodin, and President of the Russian Association of Children's Goods Industry Antonina Tsistulina.
