Expocentre, Russia’s leading trade show company, celebrated its 60th anniversary. The gala dinner took place at Expocentre Fairgrounds in Moscow. Prominent statesmen, scientists, businessmen, CEOs of major companies, representatives of embassies, foreign and Russian partners in the exhibition business came to congratulate Expocentre on its remarkable date.

Expocentre received congratulations from Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, cabinet ministers, heads of regional governments, the Mayor of Moscow, heads of industry and professional associations, chambers of commerce and industry of Moscow, Kostroma, Nizhny Novgorod, and Belarus, as well as international companies.

President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin congratulated the anniversary celebrants at the gala dinner. “Expocentre,” he said, “is Russia’s only company having sixty years of continuous successful work in Russian and international trade show markets. Expocentre is a universally recognised leading exhibition venue in this country. The company’s greatest asset is a like-minded team who are in constant search of new ideas, projects, formats, and ways how to be a step ahead in this field.”

Director General of Expocentre AO Sergey Bednov welcomed his colleagues and visitors and said that Expocentre’s history was 60 years of development of the trade show business in Russia. “The main value,” he said, “is our trade shows created by our predecessors, Expocentre’s veterans. We are very grateful to them for it. We develop these projects, give them new colours and sounds, and update them maintaining Expocentre’s traditions.

According to Sergey Bednov, nowadays Expocentre is not just a place and means to display exhibits. It is a platform for networking and collaboration and a platform to promote goods to the Russian and international markets and to strengthen trade and economic relations. “We are optimistic about the future and proud of Expocentre. We will launch new projects and do our best to make our participants feel even more comfortable with us. Expocentre’s trade shows are a key to your success,” said Sergey Bednov.

At the gala dinner Expocentre got warm congratulations from First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Svetlana Zhurova, Deputy of the Russian State Duma Vladimir Kononov, first vicar of the Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia Bishop Dionisy of Voskresensk, President of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs Sergey Alexeev, President and CEO of Messe Düsseldorf Werner Dornscheidt, UFI Regional Manager Europe Nick Dugdale-Moore, and other special guests.

The gala dinner featured the official ceremony of cancellation of a stamped art envelope devoted to Expocentre’s 60th anniversary. It was noted the mark had been issued in 180 thousand copies and was of philatelic value.

The festive atmosphere of the dinner was complemented by outstanding performance of famous artists.
