EXPOCENTRE played host to the main exhibition of the 16th Science Festival 2021 last weekend. In Moscow, the festival was organised by the Moscow City Government, the Lomonosov Moscow State University, and the Russian Academy of Sciences. 

The exhibition at EXPOCENTRE was a major popular science event held within the Russian Year of Science and Technology, addressing such areas as new medicine, space exploration, new threats and challenges to security, interconnection of territories and spatial development, climate, ecology, genetics, quality of life, artificial intelligence, and person and society. 

More than 150 Russian companies, including state corporations, industrial enterprises, higher educational establishments, institutions of the Russian Academy of Sciences, state research centers, development institutes and schools, took part in the exhibition. 

A primary objective of the exhibition and the festival in general is to popularise science and to demonstrate the latest scientific and technological achievements and the increasing role of science and education in the economic and cultural development of modern society. Much attention is given to raising the prestige of scientists and teachers and attracting talented youth to science.
