Aleksey Vyalkin spoke about how conferences and exhibitions could help to improve the investment climate in the region. He told in detail about major exhibitions held at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds, and stressed that exhibitions were becoming a key investment driver nowadays.

Alexey Vyalkin drew attention to the fact that today it is customary to divide exhibitions into B2B and B2C. However, a new approach, which consists in evaluation of exhibition projects from the point of view of investment and economic components, so-called B2I (Investment)-format, is becoming more and more important. The overall objective is to ensure that the investment component of exhibitions would grow in quality and actively build a modern, multidisciplinary technological platform for business development.

“For example, we help exhibitors present investment and innovation projects so that they can demonstrate at exhibitions not just products or services, but a vision, a model of their future development,” said EXPOCENTRE’s Director General. “Such an approach makes it possible to attract investors interested in investing in projects of this or that nature in specific areas, in a targeted way.”

Among effective formats of work at exhibitions, Alexey Vyalkin singled out regional group stands promoting regional brands and regional products, start-up zones, and subcontract exchanges.

Anna Palagina, Rector of the International Institute of Business Association Management, spoke about the possibilities of the Institute to implement educational programmes for businesses as part of the Small and Medium Enterprises national project and for citizens as part of the Demography national project.
