Prodexpo 2023, the 30th Anniversary International Exhibition for Food, Beverages, Food Raw Materials opened today at Expocentre Fairgrounds. It is one of the world's top ten food exhibition projects.

EXPOCENTRE AO organises Prodexpo with the support of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In 30 years, the exhibition has increased fivefold in terms of exhibition space and the number of participants.

This year, 2,027 companies from 35 countries, including Europe, Asia, South America and Africa are exhibiting the best food and drink products and the latest technology. 12 countries are represented by national pavilions. Thematic salons of the exhibition cover all segments of the Russian and foreign food market without exception.

As Sergey Katyrin, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noted at the opening ceremony, a third of the participating states are so-called sanctioning countries, whose companies have come to this exhibition believing that business with our country is more important than political squabbles.

He drew particular attention to the fact that more than 1,500 exhibitors at this year's show were Russian, including not only the traditionally regular exhibitors, but also many new brands. There are also an unusually large number of group stands from Russian regions at the exhibition. Today, we can say with confidence that the Russian food market meets international standards and nothing has changed qualitatively for the worse, the head of the Chamber stressed.

He thanked his colleagues at EXPOCENTRE AO for the work done and for the Prodexpo 2023 exhibition programme they had prepared together with the State Duma deputies and representatives of ministries and departments. "There is an opportunity to discuss and debate, including problematic issues, to find ways to solve them. Based on the results of each round table and session we will prepare joint proposals to State Duma deputies and governors. There is a huge programme corresponding to the scale of the exhibition," said Sergey Katyrin.

During the opening ceremony, Vladimir Kashin, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Agriculture, Alexander Avdeev, Governor of the Vladimir region, Sergey Mitin, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management, Artyom Kiryanov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Sergey Karginov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Far East and Arctic Development, Vladimir Skvortsov, Director of the Food and Processing Industry Department of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, Maxim Protasov, Head of the Autonomous Non-profit Organisation Russian Quality System, Rodrigo Baena Soares, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil, congratulated the exhibitors, visitors and organisers on the exhibition's anniversary.

Guests of honour at the opening ceremony included the ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan and Serbia.

Alexey Vyalkin, Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO, thanked the guests of honour for their support and all exhibitors for choosing the venue of Expocentre Fairgrounds. "EXPOCENTRE's team will continue to do their best to make your work with us as comfortable and effective as possible," he assured.
