Today, EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds opened its doors to the 34th International Exhibition for Furniture, Fittings and Upholstery – Mebel 2023.

EXPOCENTRE AO organises the exhibition with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia, and under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.   

The exhibition brings together manufacturers and suppliers of furniture, accessories and upholstery materials, architects, designers and buyers of furniture products. This year the showcase covers a total area of 80,000 square metres and welcomes 1,100 exhibitors from 11 countries.

Thanks to the active participation of regional business development centres, companies from 20 Russian regions are taking part in the exhibition this year. The exhibition will present new products in the following categories: residential furniture, furniture for country houses, furniture for public premises, special and commercial furniture, accessories and interior items, materials, components and fittings, furniture and interior fabrics, interior and furniture design, smart technology, and much more.

There will also be a rich conference programme featuring 35 events with the participation of leading industry experts.

On the first day, the exhibition was visited by Deputy Chair at the Russian Federation Council Yury Vorobyov. He toured the exhibition and held a meeting of the Council for the Development of the Forestry Sector of the Russian Federation under the Russian Federation Council.

The participants discussed the state of the deep mechanical wood processing industry, the prospects for the development of unmanned aerial systems for the needs of the Russian forestry industry, the implementation of previous decisions of the Council, and work plans for 2024 (watch the broadcast).

The Council participants included Chair at the Russian Federation Council Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management Alexander Dvoynykh, Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Bocharov, Russian Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology Sergey Anoprienko, Head at the Russian Federal Agency for Forestry Ivan Sovetnikov, President at the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia Aleksandr Shestakov, Director General at the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia Timur Irtuganov, and other representatives of regional authorities and commercial enterprises.

Mebel 2023 is open till 24 November.
