Event programme

The event programme of 2021 was opened with the 1st Tires & Rubber International Forum, organised by EXPOCENTRE AO jointly with the Association of Exporters and Importers, and the Energy Group.

Forum moderator, Vice President at the Association of Exporters and Importers Pavel Dolgov, talked about the great importance of international commerce for the tire and rubber market. The speech of Energy Group General Director Oleg Vysotsky began with a review of the tire, rubber and rubber products market. The speaker underlined that in recent years, the global market for tires, rubber and rubber products had become more competitive due to the growth of low-cost products in developing countries, and the market was growing in physical terms but shrinking in value terms. Looking at the Russian market, Mr. Vysotsky said that tire and synthetic rubber output would recover in the first quarter of 2021, but that the rubber goods market was unbalanced as its capacities were underutilized and imports took precedence over exports. According to the representative of the Energy Group, a promising future for Russian companies is the development of new brands of products with high added value.

Energy Group Managing Partner Alexey Baranov spoke about the group’s experience in using new technologies to process foreign trade statistics to shape the commodity and pricing policies. Oksana Polyanskaya, expert from ANO Soyuzexpertiza of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, devoted her speech to the quality and origin of goods, raw materials, and materials in the tire and rubber industry.

The forum also looked at cases of rubber and rubber products imports and exports, tire labelling, localization of production in special economic zones, state support for manufacturers and exporters.

The forum was attended by Trade Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Russia Tengku Bayu Nasrul Sjah, Investment Advisor to the Indonesian Ambassador Lubarto Sartoyo, Alfa-FTOR General Director Sergey Andreyev, Mamontov Consulting LLC Managing Partner Olesya Mamontova, and other speakers.
