22nd edition of the CJF International Exhibition for Child and Junior Fashion, Maternity Wear

CJF – Child and Junior Fashion is a special event in the world of children's fashion. CJF targets buyers, manufactures, suppliers and designers of clothes, footwear and accessories for children and pregnant women.

Show Highlights

  • The CJF – Children's Catwalk 2019. Spring once again brought together leaders of the children's fashion including Yunie Fantazery, Chadolini, Kiwiland, Petit Alo, Olmi, Vester, Alessandro Borelli, and Malenkaya Ledi.
    Young rhythmic gymnastics champions and professional models of the Slava Zaitsev children model agency showed clothes of Chersa, Belkina, and Montа Juniors at the fashion shows of the best sportswear for children. Well-known Russian fashion designer Slava Zaitsev was among the audience. After the show he said that CJF was one of the most interesting exhibitions of the fashion industry.
    CJF featured a Russian premiere of sports clothes for children Monta JR by Edgar Davids from the former Dutch football player. The collection included comfortable sports pants, t-shirts, jackets and sweatshirts. Edgar Davids took part in the fashion show. 
  • Trend tours showed commercial trends in design of clothes, footwear and accessories for children in Autumn-Winter 2019/2020. The tour Trends That Sell was organised by the WunderLook style laboratory, multichannel platform for fashion industry "Modniy Magazine" and Expocentre AO, and conducted by Aleksandra Kamanina, stylist and image maker, founder of WunderLook. Ksenia Leri, founder and CEO of the Trendsquire trend bureau, conducted the tour devoted to clothing and footwear for children in Autumn-Winter 2019/2020.
  • The traditional Expocentre for Counterfeit-Free Exhibition Project, aimed to minimize counterfeit products showcased at exhibitions via providing consultations and clarifications regarding intellectual property, and rendering assistance in solving conflicts connected with violations of exclusive rights. 

Key Associated Events

The events were held under the umbrella of the 20th edition of the Practical Business Forum of CJF – Child and Junior Fashion 2019. Spring.

The Licensing Marketplace and the Centre of Retail Chains, organised by Imperia and Expocentre AO, were a networking platform for representatives of retail chains of children's goods, owners of trade marks, manufacturers of goods for children, market analysists and wholesalers. The events brought together more than 350 participants.

The 16th Russian Trade Forum for the Market of Children's Goods with the Purchasing Centre for Retail Chains™ was a success. It was organised by Imperia and Expocentre as its general partner with support of the Retail Companies Association, Union of Independent Retail Chains of Russia, Federal Purchasing Alliance, and National Association of Chain Retail. The forum welcomed more than 250 delegates. The Purchasing Centre for Retail Chains accommodated 450 talks with 42 buyers from 18 Russian federal and local retail chains. The participants in supporting events were experts of such companies as Dochki-Synochki, Familia, Ozon, GfK Rus, Kids Fashion Retail, Olimp, Unit-Consulting, Paper Planes Consulting Agency, MOMRI, Leonov Consulting and Yandex.Market.

The International Аssociation "Anti-Counterfeit" and the Association of Technical Regulations with support of Expocentre AO organised the Workshop on Specifics of Certification and Labeling of Children's Clothes, Footwear and ccessories. The event generated a lot of interest.

Representatives of Fashion Consulting Group, Kids Fashion Retail and VM Guru held workshops at the Children's Catwalk Area about visualization of purchasing, loyalty programmes, marketing calendars and global trends in design of stores for children. 

Many events were held at the Presentation Area. They included various workshops about, among other things, event marketing, P.O.S., how to get profit from prices, taxes and promotions, and purchasing trends. The multi-training Mom in Business for women on maternity leave was organised by the Women's Business Centre state agency with support of the Moscow City Department of Labour and Social Protection.

The multichannel platform for fashion industry "Modniy magazine" and Expocentre AO organised the Conference on Effective Technology for Online Sale of Children's Clothes and Footwear.

Several competitions announced their results. Borelli-club.ru of Alessandro Borelli became the Best Online Store, Ariadna-96 with its brand G'n'K was named the Best Website for Buyer, and MiACOMPANY won the nomination of the Best Instagram Account.
