The 20th Anniversary Edition of the Neftegaz International Exhibition for Equipment and Technologies for the Oil and Gas Industry 

Neftegaz 2021 is held annually jointly with the National Oil & Gas Forum. Together they create the industry's largest show and networking platform, which incorporates both the oil and gas industry's long history of development and current innovative solutions called to ensure consistent economic growth within the industry.

The exhibition and forum participants include senior representatives of industry ministries and agencies, top managers of oil and gas and engineering companies, industry experts, heads of industry associations, financial sector analysts and consultancy companies, as well as representatives of leading mass media outlets. They will discuss the most relevant energy issues, global challenges and trends in the fuel and energy sector, which will undoubtedly contribute to finding new ways to further develop the industry in the current environment.

As one of Russia's largest projects in this area, Neftegaz has consistently confirmed its status as an effective professional platform for signing contracts, business networking, and exchange of experience and information about the latest technologies and advanced equipment for the oil and gas industry. 

This year, Neftegaz, which is the main exhibition of the Russian oil and gas industry, celebrates its anniversary. Its first edition was held in 1978. Along with the industry, the exhibition went through different times. And this year was not an easy one. Neftegaz proves its relevance to industry professionals and marks the recovery of the Russian oil and gas industry which is adapting to the constraints of the pandemic. 

A photo exhibition about the 20 years of Neftegaz will be arranged between Pavilions No.2 and No.8 to celebrate the exhibition’s anniversary.

Supporting events 

This year’s event programme of Neftegaz features different presentations held within two sessions. These events will be held in the Business Presentation Area in Hall 3 of Pavilion No.2. 

On the exhibition opening day, April 26, the Session on Power and Control Conductors for Oil and Gas Production will be held with support of the Electrocable International Association and the Russian Aluminium Association. It will include eight presentations and a workshop of the Russian Aluminium Association on the topic of Aluminium Solutions for the Oil and Gas Industry. The session will be moderated by Maksim Tretyakov, CEO at Elkat OOO (Moskabelmet Group), President at the Russian Aluminium Association, Board Chair at the Electrocable International Association, Ph. D. in Economics, Pavel Moryakov, CEO at MKM OOO (Moskabelmet Group), Head of the Energy Sector of the Russian Aluminium Association, Ph.D. in Technical Sciences, and Aleksandr Gusev, Head at the RusCable Media Holding, member of the Scientific and Technical Council for Development of the Electrical and Cable Industry under the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, member of the Interdepartmental Coordination Council for Development of the Power Engineering, Electrical and Cable Industry under the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

On April 27 and 28, the Session on Current Development Trends in the Oil Extraction Industry will include 19 presentations of the Neftegaz exhibitors and the Conference on the Current Development Trends in the Oil and Gas Business: Innovative Strategies, Digital Transformation, Increasing Operational Efficiency of Oil Companies held by the Moscow Institute of Oil and Gas Business. The session will be moderated by Rustem Shagiev, Rector at the Moscow Institute of Oil and Gas Business, member of different projects of Lukoil, Slavneft, Sibneft, and Tatneft, member of the SPE and EAGE international associations, author of more than 50 scientific works and 130 educational programmes carried out in Russia and 28 countries, head of different projects on creation of state educational standards and regulations in the field of oil and gas.

One of the most important events of Neftegaz will be the Conference on the Cooperation of Science, Education and Business in the Field of Oil and Gas, organised by EXPOCENTRE AO with support of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, and the Association “Russian National Committee of the World Petroleum Council”. The participants will discuss challenges of training professionals in the oil and gas extraction sector, digitalisation in the fuel and energy sector, energy transition, the role of women in science, industry and training, experience in running international master's programs and experience of the international student section of the society of petroleum engineers, and the importance of international cooperation in professional training. 

National Oil & Gas Forum 2021 is Russia’s largest series of business related events in the oil and gas industry. It is organised by the Russian Ministry of Energy, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia, and the Russian Gas Society. The forum will take place in Hall 3 of Pavilion No.8 on 27–28 April. 

The forum will include many panels, workshops, foresight sessions, conferences, and plenary sessions.
