The 28th Tashkent International Healthcare Exhibition – TIHE 2024 will take place in Tashkent on 16–18 April 2024. It will feature the Made in Russia pavilion, organised by the Russian Export Center and operated by EXPOCENTRE AO.

The Healthcare Exhibition – TIHE is held with the active support of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It is a unique platform where medical equipment, medical products, consumables, rehabilitation and preventive measures, technologies of aesthetic medicine, pharmaceuticals and goods for a healthy lifestyle, medical and health services are demonstrated.

More than 250 exhibitors take part in TIHE every year, of which 55% are foreign companies from Bangladesh, Belarus, China, Czechia, Denmark, Germany, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Russia, Turkiye, and other countries. The exhibition welcomes more than 7 thousand visitors including doctors of various specialisations, pharmacists, managers of beauty clinics, procurement specialists of distributor companies, manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, laboratory diagnostics, medical and pharmaceutical equipment, as well as representatives of influential government agencies.

Russian exporters are participating in TIHE with the support of the Russian Export Center for the third consecutive year. In 2024, 24 Russian companies will take part in the Made in Russia showcase with a joint floor space of over 250 square metres. The profile of Russian exporters covers a wide range of equipment and technologies for traumatology, cardiology, ophthalmology, physiotherapy and other sectors of medicine. For example, the exhibition visitors will have a chance to evaluate visual diagnostics systems, preparations for restoration of intestinal microflora, medical mannequins and simulators for training, as well as Russian-made electrical stimulators, mobile medical lights for surgical operating theatres, rehabilitation equipment for people with disabilities, preparations and devices for laboratory diagnostics, equipment for pathology departments and microbiological laboratories, implants for cardiovascular surgery, and much more.

Russian medical technologies, equipment and pharmaceuticals are in high demand in Uzbekistan. One of the factors influencing the growing demand for them is the large-scale modernisation of the healthcare system, which began in 2018. The Uzbekistan-2030 Strategy and the Concept for the Development of the Healthcare System of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2019-2025 envisage a consistent reform of the healthcare system over seven years. New technologies are being introduced everywhere from primary healthcare to specialised centres. The achievements of global science and medicine are being widely applied, and international experts are being involved in solving problems.

Pharmaceutical products and medical equipment are the largest commodity group of Uzbekistan's imports. Russian companies account for almost 15% of Uzbekistan's imports of pharmaceuticals, and this share is steadily increasing. Supplies of medical equipment and healthcare products from Russia to Uzbekistan have also been growing over the past five years.

The high and growing demand for products of the Russian medical and pharmaceutical industry opens up good prospects for Russian companies entering the Uzbek market. Participation in TIHE 2024 under the Made in Russia brand will allow Russian medical companies to make confident steps in strengthening international cooperation, increase exports of high-tech products, and strengthen the positions of Russian manufacturers in the market of Uzbekistan and other countries.
