EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds has opened its doors to the 23rd edition of the International Exhibition for Equipment and Technologies for the Oil and Gas Industry – Neftegaz 2024. The show is organised by EXPOCENTRE AO with the support of the Russian Ministry of Energy, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Neftegaz 2024 takes place concurrently with the National Oil and Gas Forum.

This year, the exhibition area has significantly increased with two new pavilions added. The outdoor area has quadrupled. The total exhibition area is 70,000 gross square metres.

Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, sent a greeting to Neftegaz 2024 and the National Oil and Gas Forum. 

“Today, Russian manufacturers of oil and gas equipment are successfully coping with new challenges and actively using all opportunities for the development of their enterprises, improving their products, and expanding their range of products. Meanwhile, the strengthening of cooperation in oil and gas machine building both within Russia and with friendly countries is seen in a new light. A successful example of international cooperation is the mutual recognition of test results of industrial products of Russian machine builders.

“The forum and exhibition traditionally offer a platform to present the latest and breakthrough technological developments for the oil and gas industry and to establish cooperation among the industry’s representatives,” says the minister.

At the official opening ceremony, Sergey Katyrin, President at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasised that today there is a huge interest in this show both within the country, as there are representatives of Russian executive and legislative authorities, scientists, and financial experts, and from external partners.

Yury Shafranik, Chair at the Council of the Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia and Chair at the Committee of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Energy Strategy and Development of the Fuel and Energy Complex, expressed confidence that the growth of the exhibition in terms of the number of participants and regional presence would allow discussing current relevant issues and working out measures for the development of the industry.

Maxim Fateev, Acting Director General at EXPOCENTRE AO, thanked the partners of Neftegaz 2024. First of all, these partners are the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Russian Ministry of Energy that provide help and support in organising the exhibition in the volumes, which can be seen at the show today. It includes 12 countries, more than 50 regions of Russia, and more than a thousand companies demonstrating their products and technologies. Ten regions are represented by group stands and pavilions. China also has a national pavilion.

The official opening ceremony of Neftegaz 2024 was also attended by Genady Shmal, President at the Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia, Viktor Ivanov, President at the Russian Chemists Union, Rodrigo Baena Soares, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Russian Federation, and Jesus Rafael Salazar Velasquez, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Russian Federation.

Neftegaz 2024 is open till April 18.
