Russian Week of High Technologies 2024 will take place at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds, Moscow, Russia, from 23 through 26 April 2024. This is a large-scale series of events related to Russian information technologies, telecommunications, navigation and telematics.

The Week brings together several trade shows and events of its conference programme. It allows demonstrating the latest developments and trends in the industry of telecommunications, satellite navigation, Internet services and other important and relevant areas, as well as discussing industry trends and sharing expert opinion.

The RWHT key events in 2024:

The increased attention to these events emphasises the Week’s importance for the industry and the development of the national economy. Therefore, RWHT is included in the Designing the Future initiative of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia.

The main topics of discussions will be the state and prospects of the data economy, Russian software, and issues of interaction between government agencies and leading operators and IT market players.

Sviaz 2024

The centrepiece of Russian Week of High Technologies is the Sviaz 2024 international exhibition, which is the most significant ICT event of the year.

Venue: Pavilion No. 2 (Halls 1–5) and No. 8 (Hall 2)

Today Sviaz is a leading trade show in the ICT industry in the EAEU and Eastern Europe. It introduces the latest solutions for landline, cellular, satellite and fibre-optic communications, telecommunications server and network equipment, special software, Internet technology,  and much more.

The show has more than doubled in terms of space and the number of exhibitors in comparison to previous year. This year's showcase will occupy two pavilions.

Foreign participation has also increased this year. It is great to see that many companies that missed last year's event have returned to the show. And more than 250 exhibitors are participating in Sviaz for the first time. Some foreign vendors are returning to the Russian market through their Russian representative offices, presenting their products at their partners' stands.

The International Consumer Electronics Exposition ICEE will be held within Sviaz. A number of solutions will be presented in Pavilion No. 2, Hall 3. In addition, the lower level of Pavilion No. 2, Halls 4 and 5, will host the exposition’s group stand organised by the Chinese group organiser. Manufacturers from China will present more than 20,000 modern and popular consumer electronics, AI, VR, computers and accessories, games, automotive electronics, outdoor electronics, audio and video, commercial electronics, and electronic components.

Sviaz 2024 also welcomes companies from 7 federal districts and 28 regions of Russia. Exhibitors from Ivanovo, Kursk, Orel, Samara Oblasts and the Republic of Crimea are participating with the assistance of the Entrepreneurship Support Centres and Export Support Centres of their regions.

The main part of the showcase is telecom equipment and network infrastructure solutions. Visitors will see data centre services and equipment, apps and software, power supply systems, antenna-mast structures and antenna-feeder devices, offers of system integrators, solutions for cyber security, construction of a digital environment, mobile, satellite and radio communications, IoT and AI, and digital ecosystems.

The Communication Cables and Equipment Sector is a regular feature of Sviaz. More than 40 companies will present optical cables and cords, copper-core communication cables and cords, radio-frequency cables, coaxial cables for KTV systems, LAN cables, cable termination equipment and fittings, crossover equipment, distribution cabinets and cabinets for active telecom equipment, equipment for structured cable systems, cable channels, optical and copper-core splitter equipment, and equipment for construction and repair of cable communication lines. The section will be as usual accompanied by a conference on fibre optics.

The exhibition pays special attention to working with colleges and universities. Sviaz provides young professionals with an opportunity to see first-hand how the industry is developing, get acquainted with new developments, technologies and equipment, get feedback from experts, establish valuable business contacts, and attract potential investors.

The special Centre of Education and Science will present educational programmes and technological achievements of eight Russian universities: Povolzhskiy State University of Telecommunications and Informatics, Bonch-Bruyevich St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications, Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, and others.

Russian Week of High Technologies includes a special Display of Navigation Systems, Technologies and Services – Navitech 2024 (Pavilion No. 2). There are exhibitors that are participating for the first time. Amungo will present professional ground and airborne radio equipment. GNSS Plus will demonstrate equipment for high-precision GNSS+INS positioning. GdeMoi will show a comprehensive GPS monitoring system. Agroflagman will present integrated solutions for vehicle control. The display will also welcome Orient Systems, a Russian manufacturer of GNSS equipment, Farvater, a Russian developer and supplier of integrated solutions for monitoring vehicles, construction and special equipment, Softlogic, a Russian manufacturer of high-tech products for urban development, improving safety at production facilities and increasing the efficiency of logistics operations, and MicroLAB Systems, a manufacturer of digital signal processing (DSP) complex TORNADO-MTCA. 

Conference programme

The programme’s key event will be the Sviaz Forum, organised by EXPOCENTRE AO with the support of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, the Russian State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education, and RBC.

The Plenary Session on Communications of the Future: Global Challenges and National Priorities will cover key trends and directions of ICT industry development, technological modernization, import substitution and industry development until 2035, government support measures for Russian telecom, influence of digital technologies on the quality of telecom services, innovative developments in the sphere of telecom equipment, HR issues of the telecom industry, Artificial Intelligence, and factors improving the quality of telecom services.

Separate sessions will focus on the role of regions in the ICT sector economy, development, implementation and efficiency of telecom equipment, strategy, management and approaches in building digital ecosystems.

The Russian Software Forum: Effective Solutions for Data Economy will be an important stage of the NTI-Expo project and an established expert platform for promotion of Russian software. The event is organised by the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Russian State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education, the Competence Center of Import Substitution in the ICT Sector, the Russian Software Products Association “Russian Software”, and EXPOCENTRE AO.

The topics of the plenary discussion will cover measures of state support for IT companies in 2024, priorities for the development of domestic radio-electronic products, the progress of software and hardware/software import substitution in the public sector, and the development of functionality, compatibility and cross-platformity of Russian IT solutions.

One of the important events will be the Strategic Session on the Scientific and Technological Development of Russia in the Context of New Challenges: Priorities, Human Resources, Laws, organised by the Russian State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education, the Expert Council on Scientific and Technological Development and Intellectual Property of the Russian State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education, and EXPOCENTRE AO.

The Autonet 2024 International Forum of Innovative Transport Technology will be organised by GLONASS/GNSS Forum in partnership with EXPOCENTRE AO with the support of the Foundation of National Technology Initiative’s Projects Support and the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

Experts from the automotive, transport, digital and telematics industries will talk about the development of the market for advanced services and services based on intelligent systems, platforms and networks in the logistics of people and things, and government support and initiatives to implement innovations in the Autonet markets.  The discussion will focus on infrastructure for smart roads, creation of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) for urban agglomerations, and green energy and electric transport in Russia.
