Maxim Fateev, Director General of EXPOCENTRE and Chair of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Committee on Exhibition, Fair and Congress Activities, attended a meeting of the BRICS Business Council in Rio de Janeiro. He encouraged the BRICS member states to use Russian exhibitions as a springboard for joint industrial projects.
During the meeting of the working group on industrial cooperation, Maxim Fateev spoke about exhibitions as a driver for the development of joint production. He emphasized the growing importance of the exhibition industry for promotion of innovation and widespread adoption of advanced technologies in the BRICS countries.
“Exhibitions are becoming points of attraction for joint projects. In 2024, almost five million companies took part in international exhibitions, which is a direct confirmation that offline events remain an indispensable tool for building partnerships in the real sector," said the head of EXPOCENTRE.
According to Mr. Fateev, the share of the BRICS countries in the total area leased by foreign participants at exhibitions held by EXPOCENTRE has increased fivefold over the past three years and exceeded 66%. The BRICS partners are most interested in Moscow shows dedicated to mechanical engineering, chemistry, and energy.
Maxim Fateev invited entrepreneurs from the BRICS countries to participate in international exhibitions held by EXPOCENTRE in Moscow. He offered all partners comprehensive support and a wide range of services for the effective presentation of their products and projects.
