Held annually at EXPOCENTRE, Russian Health Care Week International Scientific and Practical Forum has become a universal platform for discussing topical issues in the field of medicine and health care.
This time it will be held from 4 to 8 December and will cover the entire industry: from scientific research and applied medicine to equipment manufacturing. It will be organised by the State Duma of the Russian Federal Assembly, the Russian Ministry of Health Care, and EXPOCENTRE AO. The Week is supported by the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, and the National Priorities ANO. The Forum is held under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The format of the Week will combine a large-scale conference programme and exhibitions such as Zdravookhraneniye, Healthy Lifestyle, and MedTravelExpo. Medical Clinics. Health and Spa Resorts. More than 1,140 companies from 14 countries (Belarus, China, Cuba, Germany, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Turkiye, and Thailand) will take part in the trade shows. China and Cuba will present their national pavilions. The PharmMedProm exhibition, organised under the auspices of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, will introduce pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and equipment made by Russian manufacturers to the visitors.
The Week is traditionally distinguished by a large-scale conference programme, this time uniting about 90 specialised industry events, the participants of which will be representatives of federal and regional authorities, chief external experts of the Russian Ministry of Health Care on various nosologies, heads of specialized unions and associations, chief physicians of clinics and health resorts, practitioners, scientists, manufacturers, distributors, business owners and managers, investors, students of medical universities, and representatives of pharmacies and pharmacy chains.
The list of key events of Russian Health Care Week 2023 includes the 15th Russian Assembly of Professionals in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Industries, Forum on the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia: Direction to Medicine, the 18th edition of the International Scientific Conference on the Current State and Development Prospects of the Elite Sports Medicine – SportMed 2023, the 3rd Scientific and Educational Forum THE YOUNG MEDICINE, the 5th Anniversary Scientific and Methodological Forum for Health Care Managers 2023: Organisational Solutions as the Structural Frame of Moscow’s Health Care, the 4th National Congress of Export of Medical Services, the Forum on the Light of Prevention. Kaleidoscope of Best Practices, the 2nd Symposium of National Medical Research Centres of the Russian Ministry of Health Care on the Role of NMRCs in the Challenges of Exporting Medical Services, the 3rd Forum on Preventive Continuum, the 5th Congress on Health Resort Industry. Science. Results, the Conference on Adolescent Health: the Basis of the Labour Potential of the Future, and the PharmMedProm Conference.
The Week will include meetings of the profile commissions of the Russian Ministry of Health Care in the areas of cardiology, occupational pathology, health resort treatment, sports medicine and medical and physical training service of Russia, a strategic session on Modern Medicine: Priorities, Personnel, and Laws. Exhibitions as an Effective Mechanism for Using Breakthrough Solutions in Health Care, organised by the State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education, the State Duma Committee on Health Care, the Committee on Exhibition, Fair, and Convention Activity of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Research Institute of Health Care and Medical Management of the Moscow City Department of Health Care, and EXPOCENTRE AO.
The strategic session on Addressing the Challenges of Import Substitution in Biomedicine organised by the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Centre for Development of Scientific and Educational Initiatives, will discuss the problems of technological import substitution in biomedicine, the opportunities of development institutions in solving them, and hold a presentation session of technological projects of the participants. The co-moderators will be Dmitry Kurochkin, Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Elena Medvedeva, Director of the Department of Project and Investment Activities at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
For the first time the scientific programme of Russian Health Care Week features the Forum on the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia: Direction to Medicine organised by the National Priorities ANO. Sofya Malyavina, Director General at the National Priorities ANO, will moderate the Forum. The Forum is expected to be attended by representatives of the State Duma of the Russian Federal Assembly, the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, the Russian Ministry of Health Care, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow State University, Sechenov University, and the Skolkovo Foundation.
On December 5, at the Forum on Health Care Ecosystem: A New Look at Preservation and Restoration of Health organised by EXPOCENTRE AO in partnership with the Health Care Development Centre of Skolkovo Moscow School of Management, progressive trends in the development of the health care ecosystem will be discussed to ensure the industry’s advanced development. The discussion will be moderated by Marina Veldanova, M.D., Professor of Business Practice, Director at the Centre for Health Care Development at the Skolkovo Moscow School of Management.
Another important area of discussion is Digital Clinic: New Technologies, Safety, and Economic Efficiency. The discussion will take place as part of a panel held by the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with EXPOCENTRE AO on 6 December. The moderator will be German Klimenko, Chair at the Council of the Digital Economy Development Foundation, Co-Chair at the Council for the Development of Information Technologies and the Digital Economy of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Medical Technology Consortium ANO will hold a panel where the Consortium experts will talk about the implementation of a set of measures to ensure the achievement of technological sovereignty in the Russian health care industry and support the development of medical equipment production in Russia.
The attention of specialists will be drawn to the 18th edition of the International Scientific Conference on the Current State and Development Prospects of the Elite Sports Medicine – SportMed 2023.
Finally, one of the breakthrough events of the Week’s scientific programme will be the 3rd Scientific and Educational Forum THE YOUNG MEDICINE, which aims to attract talented young people to the field of medical research and development. The Forum is organised by the Filatov International Foundation for Biomedical Technologies Development, the Russian Ministry of Health Care, and EXPOCENTRE AO. The event is supported by the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly; the scientific support of Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University of the Russian Ministry of Health Care and the Medical Research and Education Centre of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
It is important to note that the MEDICINE YOUNG project is included in the official programme of activities for the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia and in the action plan for the implementation of the National Strategy for Women.
Russian Health Care Week 2023 is included in the list of events supported by the Russian Ministry of Health Care and in the consolidated list of congresses and exhibitions held in Russia and abroad for participation of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. It is one of the main federal congress and exhibition events of the country in the field of health care.
