The 5^th International Conference on the Global and National Trends in Labour Economics and Human Resource Management, dedicated to the 80^th anniversary of the Human Resources Management Department of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, opened at Plekhanov Russian Economic University.

Maxim Fateev, General Director at EXPOCENTRE and Head of the Human Resources Management Department of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, took part in the conference.

Maxim Fateev read out greetings to the professors and staff of the Human Resources Management Department of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on behalf of Sergey Katyrin, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, and noted that the department is one of the oldest ones in the University.

“For the past eight decades, this department has been one of the engines of science in the field of labour economics, human resource management and personnel management, successfully solving the main tasks of higher education that is providing training of highly professional specialists for the national economy, and the development of domestic science. It is difficult to overestimate the contribution of many generations of faculty, staff, graduates, postgraduates, and students of the department to the formation and development of the theory of labour economics, human resource management, human capital, personnel management, and the implementation of scientific achievements in life,” said Maxim Fateev.

“At the same time, I would like to emphasize that the high achievements of the department in scientific and pedagogical activities would not have been possible without fruitful cooperation with our partners – representatives of academic science, business and public administration – colleagues not only from Russia, but also from other countries. This conference is a good example of such cooperation and joint intellectual work. I am confident that the results of the conference will be in demand by the economic science of modern Russia, and the recommendations developed will be applied in activities aimed at solving urgent problems of the socio-economic development of the country,” continued Maxim Fateev.

As part of the event, Maxim Fateev was awarded the Gratitude of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation for his many years of diligent work and significant personal contribution to the development of scientific and educational initiatives.
