We have summed up the results of the Russian participation in the AgroExpo Uzbekistan international exhibition for agricultural machinery, horticulture, greenhouses, crop and livestock farming, held from 27 to 29 November 2024 in Tashkent.
More than 160 exhibitors from 14 countries of Europe, Central, South and East Asia and Middle East took part in AgroExpo Uzbekistan on an area of 15,800 square metres. Over three days, the exhibition was visited by 5,870 thousand industry professionals.
The opening ceremony was attended by Dilshod Rasulov, Deputy Chair at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Anas Fayad Karman, Deputy Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Uzbekistan, Kamoliddin Ikromov, Chair at the Agribusiness Association, Yorkin Malikov, Chair at the Association of Exporters of Uzbekistan, Nodirjon Otazhonov, Chair at the Board of Uzagroleasing, Ulugbek Yunusov, Deputy Director at the Plant Protection Agency, and Stefan Kresse, Director General at IFWexpo Heidelberg, and other officials.
Five companies producing agricultural machinery, seeds, fertilisers and plant protection products from different regions of Russia and Belarus took part in the group stand occupying 110 square metres. The stand was organised by EXPOCENTRE AO. During the exhibition, they held more than 100 b2b meetings and negotiations with potential buyers from different regions of Uzbekistan.
Organic fertilisers and plant protection products produced in Russia aroused great interest among representatives of Uzbek farms. As a result, agreements were reached on their trial purchases to increase crop yields and plant treatment in the fields. Also during the meetings, the parties discussed the need to hold workshops for farmers on the basis of training centres at district administrations. Important topics for negotiations between Russian participants and Uzbek buyers were the issues of breeding programmes for greenhouses and open ground for vegetable crops.
Installation of pelletisers and a project for setting up a feed mill and many other issues were also on the agenda of the participants of the group stand and their potential foreign partners.
Preliminary results of the Russian group stand at AgroExpo Uzbekistan have shown that participation in relevant foreign trade shows provides domestic manufacturers with excellent opportunities to promote products for export, increase product sales, and develop bilateral relations.
AgroExpo Uzbekistan has traditionally become a key platform for all players in the agricultural sector of Uzbekistan and the entire Central Asian region.
