The 5th edition of the International Exhibition INNOPROM Central Asia opened in Tashkent on April 28. It is a key event for the development of trade and industrial cooperation in Central Asia. The Made in Russia national pavilion opened at the new exhibition venue CAEx Uzbekistan with the support of the Russian Export Center, part of the VEB.RF Group. EXPOCENTRE is a pavilion operator.
INNOPROM Central Asia brings together over 400 companies from Russia, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, China and other countries representing key industries: machine building, metallurgy, information technologies, energy, waste treatment, and many others. Over 10,000 professional visitors from government agencies, businesses and industry associations of Central Asian states are expected to attend the show.
This year, the Russian pavilion occupies 923 square meters, which makes it the largest among foreign exhibitors and the second largest after the national pavilion of Uzbekistan. Fifty-one companies from 23 regions of Russia display durable quality goods under the Made in Russia brand.
The pavilion presents IT products, automobile tires, gas cleaning equipment, mining industry, road construction, charging stations, industrial equipment and spare parts, polymeric materials, special equipment, construction, chemical industry, and electrical equipment.
Within the first few hours of the exhibition, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, and Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev visited the Made in Russia pavilion.
In particular, the delegation saw an airboat made the Krasnoyarsk Sever amphibious plant. Amphibious transport is widely used in the mining and oil and gas industries, as well as in regions with difficult climate and terrain.
The Made in Russia pavilion also presented an AC charging station from PSS Corporation, which is an all-Russian product, in addition to samples of a drilling rig from Bur-Instrument Export actively used in geological exploration and uranium mining in Uzbekistan, and a centrifugal concentrator for highly efficient extraction of precious and rare metals from Service Technoprom.
Other exhibitors are Genesis M, a manufacturer of polymer compounds based on polyolefins, the SKB EP electrical equipment diagnostics enterprise, Ufagidromash, a manufacturer of oilfield equipment, ArnestUniRus, a major manufacturer of household chemicals and cosmetics, GuideSystems, a supplier of metallurgical equipment and components, Enerpred, a manufacturer of hydraulic equipment, Russia’s largest automobile corporation KaMAZ, NPO KARAT, a developer of metering devices for energy, housing and public utility services and construction, NPF Meta-Chrom, a manufacturer of gas chromatographs, Profi Group, a manufacturer of specialized machines, MEDLIGHT, a manufacturer of innovative boards and materials from tempered glass, and others.
Russian exhibitors are due to hold over 200 talks with entrepreneurs and officials from Uzbekistan and other countries over three days of the exhibition.
“Such events bolster trade and economic relations between Russia and Uzbekistan, which are developing at truly substantial rates. Bilateral trade reached $10.2 billion last year. Importantly, high-tech companies from Russia and Uzbekistan are discussing both trade formats and joint projects for building production facilities in Uzbekistan at this exhibition,” said Russian State Secretary, Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Roman Chekushov.
There will be over 15 events in the conference programme, including the keynote Plenary Session on Strategic Industrial Partnership in Central Asia: Integration Based on Advanced Technologies involving Denis Manturov and Jamshid Khodjaev.
INNOPROM Central Asia is an effective platform promoting Russian technologies on the markets of Central Asia and building long-term partnerships. It serves as a major trade and industrial cooperation event in the region.
