Lesdrevmash 2022, the International Exhibition for Machinery, Equipment and Technology for Logging, Woodworking and Furniture Industries, organised by EXPOCENTRE AO every two years, has grown by 70% in its total exhibition space.

This year the event will be held from 12 to 15 September under auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, EUMABOIS – the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers, the Wooden Housing Association, the Drevmash Russian Association of Organisations and Enterprises of Woodworking Machine Building, the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia, the Lestech Association, the Russian Association of Robotics.

Despite the departure of some foreign companies from the Russian market, the Lesdrevmash exhibition has been extended compared to 2020, and there will be even more equipment on display this year than in 2018. More than 1,000 tonnes of production lines, machines, and tools await visitors. 

The latest developments will be showcased by companies from Russia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Sweden, Turkish, and the USA. 

Thanks to financial support of the regional authorities, companies from Arkhangelsk, Bryansk, Kirovsk, Kostroma, Tver, Vladimir, Yaroslavl oblasts, and the Republic of Karelia will exhibit. 

A total area of 16,000 sq. m will cover the entire production cycle - from timber harvesting to deep processing of wood raw materials. The product sectors of the exhibition include logging, sawmilling, wood panel production, woodworking, house building, furniture production, automation, bioenergy, packaging, tools, paint and varnish materials. 

There will be an intensive conference programme. A key event of the exhibition’s conference programme will become the Plenary Session on Adaptation of the Russian Timber Industry to New Conditions: Supply Chains, Directions of Development, Financial Situation with participation of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and leading industry experts.

For the first time, a three-day WoodWorld Forum of the Timber Companies will be held as part of the exhibition. Participants of the forum will discuss trends in the development of the wood-fibre sector in the light of restricted supplies to the European market, production and sale of wood biofuel, and issues of development of the sawn timber market. There will also be industry conferences and panel discussions on a wide range of relevant topics.
