The exhibitors, visitors and organisers of the first Russian Industry Week, held at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds from October 19 to 22, are greeted by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.

He notes that implementation of such a large exhibition and convention project is very timely to meet challenges faced by the domestic machine building. This applies to both import substitution and export build-up. At present, Russian enterprises need not only to master substitute production of final samples, but also to work towards creation and improvement of component base and parts.

By uniting several key industry exhibitions on one site, in particular, in the field of structural materials, equipment, technologies and materials for welding and cutting processes, as well as in the field of woodworking, Russian Industrial Week will allow to assess the accumulated potential, clearly demonstrate the latest achievements and results of complex measures of the state support of domestic manufacturers.

It is also important that an intensive supporting programme will be held within Russian Industrial Week. The supporting events will allow to discuss a wide range of industry development issues at the expert level, the welcome address says.
