subscribe to news Bread Business Forum discussed the industry’s prospects

The 6th Russian Forum on Bakery and Confectionery Industry “Bread Business” has opened at Agroprodmash 2021, the 26th International Exhibition for Equipment, Technologies, Raw Materials and Ingredients for the Food Processing Industry. It is organised by KVK Imperia and EXPOCENTRE AO.

The volume of the Russian confectionery production decreased by 2% in 2020 (according to the Association of Confectionery Industry Enterprises). In the production of bread and bakery products is also down by 3.9%. Flour is becoming more expensive, so is packaging, and the consumer is not getting richer. Total trend to healthy foods and "green" PR, which dictates the rules of rational consumption, completes the picture. It is increasingly difficult for bread and bakery producers to position their products as healthy, because the conditions and requirements for this (sometimes imaginary) are growing.

What is changing in the industry? What changes are experts predicting in 2022? How will the new GOST, export growth and new competition rules affect bread production, bakeries and retail? How do production technologies in the agribusiness sector respond to changes in the world? What innovations in recipes and ingredients are helping companies develop products? Leading industry experts offer answers to these and other questions.

The forum participants will also discuss the important topic of how to create a team in which dedication and professionalism go hand in hand. About 87,000 students graduate from Russian agricultural universities every year. However, only 36% of them go to work for agribusiness companies. The shortage of personnel forces food companies to look for different ways to create and retain staff: they train newcomers from scratch, cooperate with the industry universities, poach personnel, develop HR-branding.
