EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds has opened its doors to the 7^th edition of VODEXPO and the 7^th Russian Water Congress.

The event is organised by the Russian Association of Water Supply and Sewerage.

The Russian Water Congress and VODEXPO are supported by the Government of the Russian Federation, the Russian Council of Federation, the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the Russian Ministry of Energy, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It is the main platform for the demonstration of scientific and technological advances in the field of water technology.

This year's congress and exhibition will focus on the development of a new water strategy for Russia until 2035, as well as the preparation of a federal law designed to provide a favourable environment for the implementation of a systematic government policy to improve the health of water bodies. Attention will be paid to various aspects of improving the technological regulation of water use in the energy, land reclamation and fisheries, mining and manufacturing industries, and housing and communal services.

The forum and exhibition participants will discuss the implementation of the Pure Water Federal Project, assess the current situation with drinking water quality in centralised systems, possible options for diversifying drinking water supply to the population, and familiarise themselves with high-tech environmental protection developments and projects to develop modern hydrotechnical, port and reclamation infrastructure.

VODEXPO will run till 22 June.
