The ANUGA 2019 international trade fair for food and beverages opened its doors on October, 5 in Cologne (Germany) with participation of 7,500 companies from around the world.

With the support of Russian Export Center AO a group stand was organised consisting of 28 Russian companies from из 18 regions of Russia, among them Agro-Alliance, Chocolate Trading House, Solomon Trade, Slavyanka Confectionary Group, Svam Group, RusBioAlliance, Progress, Medoviy Dom, Kuhmaster, and others.

The participants in the opening ceremony of the Russian group stand were Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexey Gordeyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Germany Sergey Nechaev, President and CEO of Koelnmesse Gerald Bose, and other officials.  

In his welcome speech Alexey Gordeyev said that even now the Russian product line in terms of product range was fully consistent with the habits of European customers, and the Russian agricultural producers used chemical agents less than their foreign colleagues. He also reminded of Russia's plans to increase exports of agricultural products up to 45 billion US dollars by 2024.

Mr. Bose, being the organiser of ANUGA, emphasised an active participation of Russian companies in the Koelnmesse trade fairs devoted to various topics. He said that Koelnmesse welcomed the efforts of the Russian side aimed at support of Russian exports and participation of Russian companies in German trade shows. Through such measures some decrease in the number of Russian exhibitors noted at ANUGA in previous years was replaced by growth in 2019.

On October, 5 a number of agreements were signed at the stand of Russian Export Center with support of Russcom IT. Russian producer of vegetable canning Plodoimport OOO (trademark Uncle Vanya) and major German food distributor Souyz GmbH signed an agreement on long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation in distribution of canned vegetables to German stores with the volume of expected deliveries 100 thousand Euro per year.

Plodoimport OOO also signed an agreement on distribution of canned vegetables to Australian stores. Merc Australia Pty Ltd. acted as a foreign partner of the Russian producer. The volume of expected deliveries will amount to 100 thousand Eupo per year, as well.
