Expocentre AO and the Perm Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a round table in Perm on December 19 to discuss the promotion of products of regional companies on the domestic and foreign markets through participation in trade shows held by Expocentre.

The event was attended by heads of more than 40 regional companies, as well as Perm Territorial Deputy Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Trade Ekaterina Makarenko, acting head of the Perm Business Development Fund Dmitry Porokhin, and Perm CCI Vice President Elena Mironova.

Deputy Head of Expocentre Regional Department Igor Fyodorov and Yevgeniya Savochkina of the Expocentre Heavy Industries Exhibitions Division presented leading international trade shows such as Neftegaz, Metalloobrabotka, Mebel, Zdravookhraneniye, Agroprodmash, Technoforum, and Lesdrevmash during the round table. They put emphasis on new projects – the Russian Construction Week, the RosBuild international exhibition for building and finishing materials and technologies, and the RusWeld international exhibition for welding and cutting equipment, technologies, and materials.

Subsidised participation of small and medium businesses in exhibitions is a matter of particular relevance. Advisor to Expocentre’s General Director Darya Baryshnikova told the audience about the existent forms of support and the experience of group stands organised by business support institutions and a substantial growth in the number of regional stands at Expocentre exhibitions.

Perm companies remain the regional leader in terms of the number and scale of participation in Expocentre's trade shows. After the presentation, representatives of many companies expressed the wish to enlarge the area of their exhibition stands.

The round table participants also asked about unique business opportunities and special terms of participation in the trade shows. Representatives of Perm companies shared their exhibition experience and received plenty of useful information about ways of making their participation even more effective.

After the round table, some heads of enterprises of the Perm Region held direct talks with Expocentre representatives on their participation in 2020 trade shows. All participants agreed that the event was highly informative and well managed, and had an obvious practical value for developing regional businesses.
