An Expocentre delegation paid a business visit to Ivanovo on November 13–14. The delegation visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Ivanovo Region and took part in the panel on Participation in International Exhibitions Hosted by Expocentre AO as a Unique Business Opportunity to Promote Products on Domestic and Foreign Markets.

Expocentre presented its exhibitions. Businessmen of the Ivanovo region were particularly interested in such events as the Inlegmash International Exhibition for Textile Manufacturing and Processing, and the CJF – Child and Junior Fashion International Exhibition for Child and Junior Fashion, Maternity Wear.

Deputy Head of the Ivanovo Regional Export Support Center Maxim Karyshev took the floor at the panel to tell the audience about the existent mechanisms of government support for business, including its participation in international exhibitions.

After the presentation, Expocentre delegation members held separate negotiations with regional companies potentially interested in taking part in the exhibitions, among them Only Children, Mercury, Detsky Boom, Aktiv Plus, Shuiskiye Sittsy, and Khoroshee Nastroyeniye.

Earlier, the Expocentre delegation held talks with CCI of the Ivanovo Region President Leonid Ivanov to discuss the use of government support mechanisms for small and medium businesses participating in exhibitions in addition to capacities of the chamber and regional centers supporting Russian businessmen (exporters).  An agreement on coordinated efforts was reached. The interaction aimed at the active participation of companies in the RosBuild International Exhibition for Building and Finishing Materials and Technologies held as part of Russian Construction Week was highlighted. The possibility of opening a regional group stand under the auspices of the Ivanovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry was considered.

After the talks, the president of the CCI of the Ivanovo region signed a cooperation agreement between the chamber and Expocentre AO which, in particularly, envisaged a broad format of bilateral information exchange.

In addition, the Expocentre delegation took part in the 6^th Russian Textile Industry Forum held by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade in Ivanovo. The forum assessed development of the textile industry and analysed its current state and growth prospects. The forum was attended by heads of leading textile and garment manufacturing enterprises of the region and the country. The Expocentre delegation held talks with many of those participants on their involvement in industry related  exhibitions.
