The Spetsmash 2021 Exhibition of Russian Agricultural and Road-building Equipment took place in Ulaanbaatar on September 27–28, 2021. The exhibition was organised by EXPOCENTRE AO on the orders from the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry.

Twenty Russian manufacturers of agricultural and road hardware, among them Rostselmash, the Petersburg Tractor Plant (Kirovets), Pegas-Agro, Bonum, Agrostroy, Tractor (Uralets), Melinvest, Mercator Holding, and Tatagrokhimservice, took part in the show.

New and popular agricultural vehicles, among them agricultural tractors, seeders, sprayers-spreaders, balers, and grain throwers, were put on display on an area of 1,710 square meters. There were also street cleaning vehicles, equipment for the production of construction materials and road works, and many others on display.

The exhibition began with a roundtable “Russia and Mongolia: Development of Cooperation in Agriculture and Road Construction.” Representatives of Russian companies, Mongolian officials, members of a delegation of Buryatia and Khakassia, and the Spetsmash exhibitors attended the event.

Russian Ambassador to Mongolia I.K. Azizov, Director of the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry’s Department of Agricultural, Food and Road and Construction Machine-Building Мanagement M.I. Yelkina, and Rosspetsmash Association Director A.V. Yelizarova spoke at the roundtable on behalf of Russia.

Mongolia was represented by Transport and Roads Minister L. Khaltar, Advisor to the Ulaanbaatar Mayor for Multilateral Cooperation Kh. Narankhuu, Director of the Food, Agriculture and Light Industry’s Policy and Planning Department Ts. Bolorchuluun, and Rostselmash representative in Mongolia, Executive Director of the Association of Grain Producers Ch. Sukhtseren.

A delegation of Buryatia represented by Buryatia Deputy Prime Minister, Agriculture and Food Minister G.Ye.Dareyev also took part in the roundtable.

A delegation of Khakassia led by President of the Khakassia Chamber of Commerce and Industry V.A. Sorokin visited the exhibition on September 27.

The exhibition hosted a series of working meetings on the participation of Russian financial institutions in foreign economic projects aimed to supply equipment and hardware to the Mongolian agricultural sector. Director of the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry’s Department of Agricultural, Food and Road and Construction Machine-Building Мanagement M.I. Yelkina, Russian Export Center Director of Export Support for Oil, Gas and Heavy Engineering A.A. Shchetinin, and VEB.RF business block representative A.S. Vasilyev took part in the meetings on behalf of Russia. Their Mongolian counterparts were Director of the Food, Agriculture and Light Industry’s Policy and Planning Department Ts. Bolorchuluun, Mongolia Development Bank’s Director of Asset and Liability Management Department L. Temuujin, Mongolia Bank of Development Director of Export, Import and Trade Finance B. Amgalan, and KHAN Bank Deputy CEO B. Erdenedelger.

Russian exhibitors had a working meeting with KHAN Bank representatives on September 28 to discuss loan programs essential for the procurement of agricultural machinery. The meeting addressed a specialized loan program of KHAN Bank for buyers of Russian-made agricultural equipment.

The growing demand of Mongolian buyers for Russian equipment and hardware reaffirms the high reputation of products of the domestic machine-building industry. Each year an increasing number of Mongolian agricultural companies choose agricultural and road construction equipment made in Russia.
