CJF 2019. Autumn ran along with the 25th anniversary international exhibition for the children's industry – Mir Detstva.  These two wonderful trade shows resulted into new ideas and trends of the upcoming fashion season, reliable business partners, creative approaches to business doing, and creative exchange of views.

Show Highlights and Supporting Events

CJF. Children's Catwalk The project partners: PROfashion Media Agency, TOP Secret Kids Model Agency, and Art Stylist International Training Center. Participants: Malenkaya Ledi, Fantazeri Kids, Huppa, Little People, Olmi, and Petit Alo. They showcased collections of school, outer and casual clothing.

Astanda Chegia, a stylist, image-maker and image coach from Practical Fashion Solution and Ksenia Leri, the founder and Director General of Trendsquire Bureau arranged trend tours around the exhibition. This autumn the tours' topics were Trends and Tendencies in the World of Children's Clothes. Children's Capsule Wardrobe. How to Sell it Effectively? and Clothing and Footwear for Children, Spring-Summer 2020.

The first JUNIOKIDS B2B Meeting brought together representatives of Turkish factories and the CJF visitors and exhibitors.

The 20th Practical Business Forum of CJF – Child and Junior Fashion 2019. Autumn offered a comprehensive supporting program.

The 17th Russian Trade Forum for Children's Goods Suppliers with the Purchasing Centre for Retail Chains™: Children's Goods, organised by Expocentre AO and Imperia Congress and Exhibition Company. The Forum participants were more than 250 CEOs of leading manufacturing companies, distributors of goods for children and teenagers, and representatives of retail chains. Experts of Ipsos ComCon, Nielsen, NPD Group Russia, and other agencies shared their best practices, presented fresh analytics, and strategic information.

The Purchasing Centre for Retail Chains™: Children's Goods welcomed more than 70 buyers from more than 40 retail chains and online stores. They agreed on supply contracts to retail chains for 2019–2020.

The 28th Russian Trade Forum for Retail Suppliers brought together key players of FMCG market of food / non-food categories. Suppliers got acquainted with the latest trends in consumer behaviour, a ready algorithm of entering retail chains with food / non-food goods and successful suppliers' case studies on shelf delivery and cooperation with online retailers.

The 3rd Licensing Marketplace featured 20 seminars, master classes, and workshops from well-known licensors and branding experts.

The Purchasing Centre for Retail Chains™: FMCG featured negotiations between suppliers of consumer products and more than 100 purchasers from more than 50 retail chains on supplies of their own brands and production of own trade marks for retail chains.

The 23rd Forum on Manufacturers and Retailers 'Private Label Brand 2020' summarised the information provided by retail chains about the development of profitable areas of private labels for 2020.

The Russian Conference of Retailers 'A Winning Formula for a Store for Children'. The best experts in category management, store building, and merchandising shared some fresh ideas to update development strategies of children's stores.

The first Interactive Area featured various presentations, master classes, business show, etc. The Conference on Promotion of Children’s Brands in the Blogosphere was organised by Pink Communications and Expocentre AO. Bloggers Kristina Dudkova, Angela Polezhaeva, Ilona Fionova, Larisa Surkova, experts and specialists from Kid Trade, OlympX, Danton-Ptisteprom, Studio 42, Newday, PR-Partner, YouTube, Yoola, Magic World, and other companies and agencies. They analysed the trends in the Russia blogosphere, told how to build a partnership between a brand and a blogger, what typical mistakes are made by the companies when posting an ad in the blogosphere, plus much more.

Other events:

The 3rd Forum on Russia-China: New Opportunities for Sustainable Business Development organised by Expocentre AO and Between2countries consulting company. The Forum was devoted to the Chinese market overview, risk factors when choosing partners, best manufacturers: pros and cons when choosing a product range for the Russian market, and China’s retail stores.

Conference on Specifics of Certification and Labeling of Goods and Garments for Children organised by the AntiCounterfeit International Association, the Association of Technical Regulations, and Expocentre AO. The conference participants considered the issues of development and regulation of the children's goods industry in Russia, responsibility for conformity assessment, labeling of textile and garment goods and baby seats and prams. Much attention was given to practical counterfeiting in the market of children's goods and clothing.

Conference on Secrets of Increasing Online Sales of Children's Goods. The participants told what was relevant on the Internet and what was outdated. How to present yourself competently online for the customers to buy from you. The discussed the right cooperation strategies between a brand and buyers of children's stores. The conference ended with awarding ceremonies in the competitions for The Best Online Store for Customers and The Best Instagram Account.

The International Competition of Goods for Children and Teenagers organised by Soyuzexpertiza ANO of CCI of Russia. The winners in the Best Consumer Properties Award nomination were Krasnaya Zverda, Mir Leo, Faktoria, Bytplat, IP Fendel, Pix CIS, Boom Baby, and Asia Life.

Magnet Store Award for children's clothing stores organised by VM Guru supported by Expocentre AO. The aim is to stimulate small business entrepreneurs to use active tools of visual merchandising and shopping design.
