BUBBLE Comics Con, a festival of pop culture, comics, film and games, has opened at Expocentre Fairgrounds. It is organised by BUBBLE, Russia's largest comics publisher.

British actor Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter series of films, will be a special guest of the event. Tom Felton will attend both days of Bubble Comics Con. He will perform on stage, answer fan questions and take part in autographs and photo shoots.

Soyuzmultfilm Studio is presenting materials for future projects at the festival and presenting cartoons, including the Krutiks series, based on the Bubble comics. The publisher and studio will also be presenting the book Soyuzmulticomix, inspired by the cartoons from the golden collection.

The creators of the sports drama "World Champion" directed by Alexey Sidorov about the legendary chess match between Anatoly Karpov and Viktor Korchnoy will talk about the film from the Bubble Comics Con stage. Director Kirill Sokolov will share with festival guests exclusive material about his new comedy "Rip it off and throw away," which premiered at Kinotavr. Actor Dmitry Chebotarev and screenwriter Alexander Fomin will answer questions about the creation of Danila Kozlovsky's sharp-scene series "Karamora".

According to Roman Kotkov, editor-in-chief of Bubble Publishing, young Russian audiences are now very receptive to Russian content, be it Russian films, Russian music or Russian comics. "Our publishing house has been doing Russian comics for 10 years now, and we know that they can be cool, cool and interesting, and we want to tell people about it, without any stereotypes," he said.

The festival is entirely Covid Free. i.e. either QR codes or a negative PCR test result will be required for access to the venue.

The festival runs until 19 December.
