The RusMebel 2019. Efficiency under Present Conditions furniture manufacturing and woodworking industry forum will take place at Expocentre Fairgrounds on November 18–21. It will be a central event of the 31^st edition of the International Exhibition for Furniture, Fittings and Upholstery Mebel 2019, which is the largest and most attended furniture exhibition in Russia and Eastern Europe.

The forum will have a busy, interesting and diverse programme thanks to its organisers, the Association of Furniture and Woodworking Enterprises of Russia and Expocentre AO. There will be conferences and panels involving experts of the Federation Council and State Duma of the Russian Federal Assembly, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Russian Export Center as well as top managers of leading furniture companies. They will address a broad range of issues, including those vital for the development of the furniture industry. Emphasis will be made on the situation in the industry, its prospects and opportunities opening for Russian manufacturers.

For the first time, RusMebel 2019 will include a competition of young furniture and woodworking industry professionals held by the WorldSkills standards, WoodworkingSkills. The winners will be included in the national WorldSkills team as representatives of the furniture industry. Some of them will be participating in the professional skills competitions such as EuroSkills Graz 2020 and WorldSkills Shanghai 2021.

The forum will also include the traditional award ceremony of the Russian Cabriole national industrial furniture design award. This year, the long-living contest has some innovations and a new jury of acclaimed designers and esteemed industry experts.

Mebel 2019 will take place on November 18–22. New products of 838 companies from 28 countries, including 584 Russian enterprises, will be demonstrated on the area exceeding 75,000 square meters.
