Expocentre Fairgrounds hosted the official opening of Interfabric 2021. Autumn, the 10th International Exhibition for Fabrics and Textile Materials, and Forum on the Russian Textile Industry Development: Regions’ Experience. The events are organised by LegPromMedia OOO with the support of Soyuzlegprom – the Russian Union of Textile Industry Enterprises., the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, assisted by EXPOCENTRE AO.

More than 250 leading manufacturers and suppliers of fabrics, textile materials, knitted fabrics, accessories, home, technical, medical textiles and nonwovens from 14 countries are taking part in the Interfabric 2021. Autumn exhibition.

The opening ceremony and conference programme was attended by the heads of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and Soyuzlegprom.

Alexey Vyalkin, Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO, welcomed the exhibition organiser, EXPOCENTRE's longstanding partner - the Russian Union of Textile Industry Enterprises - and the guests of honour present at the ceremony, who kindly agreed to take part in the opening ceremony. “EXPOCENTRE AO supports the exhibition and does everything possible to make the exhibitors and visitors feel comfortable and productive at the exhibition”, said Alexey Vyalkin.

More than 100 speakers, including renowned industry experts and practitioners, representatives of ministries and agencies, as well as heads of major companies, are scheduled to speak at the forum, which opened immediately after the official opening ceremony. A total of 38 practice-oriented events are scheduled for the industry forum's conference programme.

Participants will discuss the problems of the Russian light industry, and in particular the experience of overcoming global economic turbulence. Topics will include raw material supply, regional production development, building and adjusting business processes, industry cluster development, analysis of industry economic indicators, cooperation with producers from the Republic of Uzbekistan, human resources problems of the industry - from training to staffing of industrial enterprises.

The exhibition runs till September 9.
