Expocentre hosted the 11^th Russian Congress of Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Workers.

The congress was organised by the Union of Associations and Enterprises of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Industry (Rosmedprom) and supported by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Ministry of Healthcare, the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare (Roszdravnadzor), the Military and Industrial Commission of Russia, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Association of Honored Doctors of Russia, and Expocentre AO.

The congress aims were to seek new opportunities to improve the competitiveness of Russian-made pharmaceuticals and medical products and make them more available to the people.

Rosmedprom President Yury Kalinin made a keynote report on the work of professional associations, organisations and companies engaged in pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.  

First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Sergey Tsyb, Head of Roszdravnadzor Mikhail Murashko, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Military and Industrial Commission of Russia Oleg Bochkarev, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Education and Science Gennady Onishchenko, Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dmitry Kurochkin, representatives of the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and other officials and experts discussed the development strategy of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry of Russia.
