Over the four days of UzBuild, the largest construction exhibition in Uzbekistan, 20 Russian companies held about 150 targeted meetings and negotiations at the Made in Russia stand, operated by EXPOCENTRE AO. The exhibition took place from 28 February to 3 March in Tashkent. 

The Made in Russia stand was one of the brightest and most ambitious at the exhibition, attracting great interest from visitors and receiving a special prize in the category ‘Best National Display’. 

At the stand, the participants held negotiations with potential partners from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and other countries. 

To foreign buyers, Russian companies presented innovative technologies and materials that are successfully used in the construction field: from architectural aluminium systems and lumber to water purification systems and diamond tools for construction and stone processing. 

According to the exporters themselves, UzBuild 2023 was a success and the companies will continue to negotiate with interested partners. 

The official opening ceremony was attended by First Deputy Minister of Construction of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Khidoyatov, Deputy Chairman of Uzpromstroymateriali Association Bakhodir Ismailov, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Uzbekistan Leonid Marinich, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Uzbekistan Manish Prabhat, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkiye to Uzbekistan Olgan Becar and other officials. 

At the opening ceremony of the Made in Russia stand, Russian trade representative to Uzbekistan Konstantin Zlygostev stressed that Russia and Uzbekistan closely cooperate in foreign trade and seek to strengthen this cooperation. He noted that the two countries have a goal to reach $10 billion in trade turnover and it can be reached as early as in 2023.
