A regular General Meeting of Members of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF) was held at the VDNH EXPO Exhibition Complex in Ufa on 18 June.

During the meeting participants discussed the current situation in the industry, reviewed the report on the results of RUEF financial and economic activities during the last year and the implementation of the Union's development strategy in the first half of this year, approved the Strategy for the Congress and Exhibition Industry Development until 2030, and also outlined the plan of events to celebrate the 30th anniversary of RUEF. In his speech RUEF President Sergey Voronkov thanked EXPOCENTRE for its sponsorship of the General Meeting.

Alexey Vyalkin, Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO, was unanimously elected to the position of RUEF Vice President at the proposal of the Union's Presidium.

The next General Meeting of the Union members will be held in December this year in Nizhny Novgorod.
