Expocentre in Moscow opened its doors for the Elektro 2019 international exhibition.

For its almost half-a-century-long history Elektro has become a major electrical trade show in Russia and the CIS. This year 225 companies from 18 countries will showcase the full range of technology and electrical equipment for power industry, construction, transportation and urban infrastructure as well as innovative projects and developments. The national pavilions have been arranged by China, Czechia, Slovakia, and Spain.

Elektro 2019 is organised by Expocentre AO and supported by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. It runs under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dmitry Kurochkin congratulated the exhibition participants. He emphasized the scope of challenges facing the Russian and global and growth in Russian exhibitors two-thirds of which were members of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Deputy Head of the Russian Federal Agency of Communications Vladimir Shelikhov was pleased to note that Expocentre's platform was very popular. Here leading companies showcase their accomplishments and latest developments, new equipment and devices.

It is not the first time Elektro has been co-located with the Neftegaz international exhibition and has put on display the latest technology solutions and state-of-the-art equipment, said Head of Exhibition Operating Management of Expocentre AO Ekaterina Bednova. She expressed special thanks to the Elektro 2019 Innovation Partner, Schneider Electric that organised the Innovation Summit Moscow at the trade show. Another significant event of the Elektro supporting program is the ElectroCable 2019 Russian Congress.

In his welcome speech member of the Civic Chamber of Russia Artyom Kiryanov said that Expocentre was a platform where the best ones were brought together to share international best practices, exchange contacts, and establish trade relations.

At the Elektro 2019 official opening there was held a cancellation ceremony of the artistically marked mailing envelope issued by the Russian Federal Agency of Communications and devoted to Expocentre's 60th anniversary.

Elektro 2019 opening ceremony ended with a spectacular theatrical performance symbolizing power supply to the exhibition space. The ceremony honoured guests were offered to put on safety helmets and turn on symbolic knife switches.

The Elektro international exhibition runs on 15-18 April in Pavilions No.7 (Halls 3,4,5), No.8 (Hall 2) and Forum Pavilion of Expocentre Fairgrounds.
